About Us

The Yellowknife Elks Lodge is an organization dedicated to the betterment of our community through charitable endeavors. Membership is open to all men and women over the age of 18.

Through the volunteer efforts of our members we generate funds to help in a multitude of local and national programs. Our donations are widespread and include items such as:

  • Sponsor of Yellowknife Air Cadets #815 since 1972
  • School lunch and reflective tape programs
  • Assistance for community non-profit organizations
  • Major supporter of the new Aven's Center and major contributor of the YK Ski Club/Elks Youth Center
  • Major supporter of the Elks Hearing Center

Membership of the order costs $75 per year. The lodge meets twice a month every second and fourth Monday. Membership in the lodge entitles you to participate in all lodge events, attendance and voting privileges at meetings and the ability to sign in 3 guests to our private club, The Yellowknife Elks Club. In return, it is our hope that all prospective members would donate some time towards assisting us in our fund raising endeavors.

The process of membership involves completing an application and subsequent initiation ceremony.
