Ticket Prices

 

Registration Fee:

 

The registration fee for the 2010 Convention is $125.00. The registration fee includes the Convention Sessions, the Dinner and Dance on Tuesday, July 20th and the Grand Ball on Thursday, July 22nd.

 

Meal / Event Individual Ticket Prices:

 

Individual ticket prices are as follows:

  • $15.00 - Meet & Greet (Sunday, July 18th)
  • $15.00 - Dinner (Monday, July 19th)
  • $30.00 - Dinner (Tuesday, July 20th)
  • $35.00 - Grand Ball (Thursday, July 21st)
  • $20.00 - Breakfast ($10 x 2 breafasts)
  • $30.00 - Coffee Breaks ($6 x 6 coffee breaks)
  • $54.00 - Lunches ($18 x 3 lunches)

Total Individual Cost - $199.00

 

Delegate - Event & Meal Package:

 

The special event and meal package for a delegate is $110.00 (NOT COVERED IN REGISTRATION FEE). This pass includes the following:

  • Meet & Greet on Sunday July 18th
  • Dinner on Monday, July 19th
  • 2 Continental Breakfasts
  • 5 Coffee Breaks
  • 3 Lunches

Total Savings with this package is $24.00

 

Spouse / Guest - Event Package:

 

The spouse / guest event pass is good for the evening events only. The cost of this package is $80.00. This includes passes for:

  • Meet and Greet on Sunday, July 18th
  • Dinner on Monday, July 19th
  • Dinner on Tuesday, July 20th
  • Grand Ball on Thursday, July 22nd

Total Savings with this package is $15.00

Activities for Spouses

 

The registration fee for the activities for spouses program is $60.00 per person. This is an all encompassing fee whether you attend all of the parts of the program or only segments of the program.

 

Tuesday, July 20th:

 

Meet & Greet

Time: 10:30am - 11:30am

Meeting Place: Elks Hall Downstairs

 

Come out and meet each other and your tour director. Information will be given on the next three day's activities.

We will then walk a block to the Northern Frontier Visitors Center where you will be given an opportunity to visit the displays and collect information.

 

City Tour

Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Meeting Place: Elks Hall

 

We will travel to:

  • Giant Gold Mine and the Outdoor Museum of Mining
  • Old Town
  • Aboriginal Community of N'dilo
  • YK Glass Recyclers
  • Wildcat Cafe
  • Bush Pilot's Monument - This site offers a panoramic view of Yellowknife and Great Slave Lake
  • Float Plane Base
  • Rotary Park
  • RCMP Building
  • DND Building
  • City Hall & Garden of Hope
  • Diavik Diamond Mine Museum
  • Miramar Con Gold Mine
  • Long Lake and the City's Public Beach
  • Bristol Monument

Enroute, we will stop at many of these sites to give a closer look.

 

Wednesday, July 21st:

 

Legislative Assembly Building Tour

Time: 10:00am - 11:15am

Meeting Place: Elks Hall

 

The NWT Legistlative Assembly Building staff will give this tour.

 

Cameron Falls Hike

Time: 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Meeting Place: Elks Hall

 

We will travel along the Ingraham Trail for approximately 45km to the Cameron Falls trailhead. This 1.2 km trail traverses a variety of terrain, up and down hills - much of it on natural rock. The trail leads to one of Yellowknife's most popular attractions. A snack will be provided at the falls.

This moderately strenuous activity may not be suitable for some.

 

Thursday, July 22nd:

 

Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Center

Time: 10:00am - 11:15am

Meeting Place: Elks Hall

 

Visitors will tour this northern museum at their leisure.

Lunch is also available for purchase at the museum. A dining room upstairs offers fine cuisine in a comfortable atmosphere.

 

Shopping Spree

Time: 1:30pm - 4:00pm

Meeting Place: Elks Hall

 

This afternoon we will visit the local shops that offer northern crafts, artwork and souvenirs.
